Host From Home connects to Google only so a short-term rental host can create, save, and restore their own operations spreadsheet.
Requested Google scopes
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets - create, read, and update the host's Host From Home spreadsheet.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file - create and access only the specific Google Drive files used with this app.
Reviewer walkthrough
Step 1
Open the demo app
Use the Host Demo button. Demo mode loads sample rental data and does not require a paid account.
Step 2
Connect Google
Click Connect Google in the top bar and approve the requested Sheet and file permissions.
Step 3
Create the Sheet
Click Sheet Setup. The app creates or opens a Host From Home Google Sheet owned by the signed-in user.
Step 4
Sync and restore
Click Save To Sheet, refresh, then Pull Sheet to confirm records can be restored from the user's spreadsheet.
What the app does not do
- It does not request full Drive access.
- It does not request Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, or unrelated account data.
- It does not sell, transfer, or use Google user data for advertising.
- Worker demo mode does not show host revenue, profit, account settings, or Google controls.
