Referrer benefit
Each eligible active referral gives the referrer account credit calculated from the referrer’s own locked monthly base price while that referred customer remains active and current:
- Referral Year 1: 20% of the referrer’s own locked monthly base price.
- Referral Year 2: 10% of the referrer’s own locked monthly base price.
- Referral Year 3 and beyond: 5% of the referrer’s own locked monthly base price while that referred customer remains active and current.
Each referral keeps its own timeline. Credits from multiple qualifying referrals stack up to 100% of the referrer’s own locked monthly bill. The referred customer’s monthly price is not the monetary base for the referrer’s reward.
Referred-customer benefit
After the referral code is validated and eligibility is confirmed, the referred customer receives:
- 10% off the setup fee.
- A two-week trial of monthly service beginning on the website launch date.
- 20% off the locked monthly price in Year 1.
- 10% off in Year 2.
- 5% off for life beginning in Year 3 while the account remains active.
The written proposal must show the original eligible price, discount amount, and final amount. This policy does not promise a discount before validation.
When credit becomes active
A click, signup, account creation, trial, or browser return page does not create referral credit. Credit begins only after the required first eligible payment or other approved qualifying event is confirmed by OBG Tools’ server records.
Payment-pending, past-due, canceled, refunded, disputed, chargeback, duplicate, self-referral, expired, ineligible, and attribution-under-review states do not generate active credit. Future credit pauses or stops when the qualifying subscription no longer meets the program requirements.
100% monthly cap
Total applied referral credit cannot exceed 100% of the referrer’s own eligible monthly OBG Tools charge. Credit cannot reduce that charge below $0, create a negative invoice, or create an automatic cash payout.
Any amount generated above the monthly cap follows the currently approved excess-credit handling. This policy does not invent or promise automatic cash withdrawal or carry-forward.
Attribution and code rules
- A pending browser record may preserve a code for up to 30 days through normal navigation.
- The browser record is not financial authority and cannot activate credit.
- Only an existing eligible server-side referral code can be validated.
- Self-referrals are not eligible.
- A referred customer cannot repeatedly claim the program or change the credited referrer after a qualifying payment.
- Duplicate or conflicting claims may be placed under review.
- A network failure must not silently convert a pending claim into a successful referral.
Privacy
Referrers receive privacy-safe activity such as a permitted display name or a masked label. Referred-customer email, account identifiers, payment methods, private workspace records, and private billing data are not disclosed to the referrer. The referred customer does not receive the referrer’s private account data.
Support, reviews, and disputes
OBG Tools may review missing codes, wrong links, duplicate claims, refunds, cancellations, disputed payments, and abuse indicators. Review does not automatically accuse a customer of wrongdoing.
Admin changes require authorization, a reason, before/after state, an acting administrator, and a timestamp. Customer-facing routes never expose admin controls.
